Job Opportunities
NEWW currently seeks a Development Director. Partnering with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, the Development Director will design and implement a strategic fundraising plan, researching, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major individual, foundation and government donors. Includes direct mail solicitation to general membership.
Requires highly energetic, organized individual with three to five years experience in the development field, able to demonstrate past success attracting significant gifts. As part of small management team, the successful candidate will participate in long-range planning and program development. Excellent verbal and written communications skills a must. Commitment to the organization’s mission is very important. Knowledge of Eastern Europe a plus. Excellent opportunity for individual ready for full-charge responsibility. Salary $50 to $60,000 commensurate with experience; schedule flexibility possible. Based in Washington, D.C.; some travel anticipated.
