The database
Mapping the World of Women's Information Services is an online database of about 400 women's information centers and libraries from over 130 countries throughout the world. The database includes contact information for each center as well as a brief description of each center’s history and areas of concentration. The database can be searched by name, country, subject, sort of organization and other key words. It also includes web site links. You can search directly in the online database.
In Focus
10 examples of women's information centres operating in Europe,
Asia and the Pacific, North America, South and Central America, the Middle East
and Africa are in the session in Focus. Read
about women's art documentation centres, virtual documentation centres, lesbian
archives and documentation and communication networks. You will read about the
history, vision and focus of these centres and as well as the political and socio-economic
environment in which they operate.
